Fire Risk Assessment

The first step to designing your fire alarm is with a fire risk assessment, this will tell you what needs to be installed and where depending on what kind of building it is and the category of what detection is needed, this could be just manual call points throughout or automatic fire detection protecting life or just the building itself depending on the priority of your business. Air opening vents (Aov) are sometimes installed to let smoke out of the building with stay-put policies to ensure the fire brigade has clear access through all communal areas such as stairwells and corridors.
